A unique child-friendly asset to your business

My monthly visit to scrumptious Tearooms is becoming a very nice habit and my excuse this month was a meeting with lovely Cheryl of CH Accountancy; A bubbly efficient yound blonde, Cheryl is not really what comes to mind when you imagine an accountant.  I chatted to Cheryl to find out  more and she explained that having always been good at maths, she decided to train as an accountant after doing the bookkeeping for a family business.  Cheryl AAT qualified a few years ago and has just taken some exams as part of the route to aquire Chartered status.

Cheryl moved from Romford to Flitch Green six months ago with her partner and two boys of five and eight.  She specialises in small local companies, doing the accounts for people who are self employed or run small limited companies and can organise their tax returns and payroll.  She is loving the lifestyle and community spirit of Flitch Green and runs her work life around her boys.  As a result she is extremely child-friendly and offers a unique service whereby you can bring your children to meetings, either at your home or Cheryl's, or you can even meet at a play centre.  Cheryl is completely flexible, which is absolutely idea for women or men who are running a small business alongside family life.

Cheryl offers two tax return services.  She can carry out standard tax returns where she does a full set of accounts and prepares tax returns, or she can do a check and review where a client has done their own returns but would like it checked over to ensure that it has all been done correctly and that they have claimed everything they can before they submit them.  Cheryl can also help you with general bookkeeping.

Cheryl told me she particularly enjoys tax returns and end of year accounts.  As a client you are welcome to just give her a box of receipts and she can deal with them or she also offers a great idea where she sells a folder with sections for each month for invoices, receipts, bank statements and mileage log etc.  When I started out running my first magazine ten years ago this would have been a huge help tome and I'm sure this a brilliant way to help a small business get and stay organised.

Cheryl offers to come to any business within an hours drive and set up their accounts so that they really know what they are doing and everything is efficient.  She is also able to help via email, phone or skype.  Her rates are incredibly competitive starting from an incredible £45 plus VAT for a Books Review and Tax Return Check, or just £145 plus VAT for Accounts, Preparation and submission of Tax Return.  All services include unlimited personal support.

I think CH Accountancy offers a fabulous bespoke and personalised service for small local businesses.  Whether you are starting up or are running a small but established business, why not get Cheryl on board to help and support you while your business grows.
