Changes to the Minimum Wage from the 1st April 2017

HMRC have confirmed the minimum wages will increase from the 1st April 2017.  The new rates will be as follows (rates are per hour):

 Age  Current Rate   New Rate from 1st October 2016   Increase 
 Adults 25+ (National Living Wage)  £7.20 £7.50 2.7%
 Adults 21 - 24 yrs £6.95 £7.05

 Youth Development Rate 18 - 20 yrs  £5.55 £5.60 0.9%
 16 - 17 yrs £4.00 £4.05 1%
 Apprentice Rate £3.40 £3.50 2.9%
